History
William Evans and Robert Scott formed Evans/Scott Printing
in 1923. Shortly after opening for business the name was changed
to Drake Printing. In 1926 Mr. Evans purchased Mr. Scotts
interest in the business. Mr. Evans and his wife, Edith, operated
the business until shortly after World War II at which time
the Evans son, Dave, returned from the service. Dave
Evans moved the business and renamed the company Acme Printing.
The company continued as a two or three person operation until
1976 when Jerry Miller purchased it. Mr. Miller incorporated
the company as Acme Printing Co., Inc. and shortly thereafter
moved the business to its current location. Since 1976 the
company has grown from three people with $100,000 annual sales
to about 100 employees with over $14,000,000 in annual sales.
