Jerry Miller spent his working life in the printing business, and since 1976 was the owner of Acme Printing Co. Inc., until he passed away in 2010. When he bought the company, it was a three-person operation with about $100,000 in annual sales. In 2005, the company had about 80 employees and generated $11 million in business annually. Acme Printing does a wide variety of jobs, but the bulk is multicolor marketing materials. Located at 66 Washington Ave., north of downtown Des Moines, Acme Printing serves clients from Coast to Coast.
