Customer Service Representative

Customer service representatives collect all data, materials, and the critical aspects to complete a printed piece from start to finish. They review the customer provided materials received by the salesperson to make sure they are acceptable to complete the finished piece and compare the information provided on the the estimate for consistency. Customer service representatives must complete a purchase order for outside purchases such as paper, bindery, dies, foil, etc. All information is then entered into the Hagen system.

After all the information is obtained and a job ticket is completed, customer service representatives must also draw a press layout, providing production with finished size, trims, and available make ready sheets. If any of the information needed is unaccounted for customer service representatives must update the job ticket as materials and information become available. Customer service representatives also fill out an imaging or prepress sheet providing each department with the information they need to complete the process.

From customer service representatives, the job moves forward to scheduling. Three day turns and rework must be approved by the production manager before being put into the production schedule. After the job is scheduled, it progresses through each department in the production division. Follow up, changes, updates, and additional information must now be communicated between our internal and external customers as the job flows through production.
