Offset Press
We operate a wide range of presses to serve customers' needs from
simple one-color jobs to complex multi-color projects. Our presses can
handle sheets ranging from 3.25” x 5.5” up to over 29” x 41” and papers
from 40# offset to 48pt board. Our presses utilize state-of-the-art
dampening systems that virtually eliminate hickies and dramatically
reduce mechanical ghosting.

When a customer's job arrives at the press, the press operator checks to make certain all the materials necessary for this phase of production are present and correct. This includes checking the plates against the proof or sample, checking the ink colors, and paper stock. After this procedure the make-ready process begins by mounting the plates on the press, filling the ink fountains, and loading the paper into the feeder.
During the next phase of the make-ready the image is registered and positioned on the sheet. The color is adjusted to match the Pantone book or color proof. When the operator has completed this phase of the made-ready, a drawout of the press sheet is made. The drawout is completed to check that the job will cut, score, perf, and fold correctly. The drawout is also checked for registration and color match. After the drawout has been aproved the press operator begins the press run while constantly monitioring the job for color and registration.
Through the use of the finest equipment, materials, and methods a piece can be produced that meets our customers' needs for excellence and cost-effectiveness. The pressroom strives for profitability by reducing waste and demonstrating craftsmanship, safety, and integrity.
